I have been involved in design and construction since a very young age working on a number of remodeling projects through my parent’s apartment management company. This gave me a good understanding on how buildings were put together. I grew up in Chaska, MN with eight brothers and sisters. I enjoy mountain biking, hiking, camping, skiing, snowboarding and fishing. But mostly, I enjoy being involved in putting buildings together and seeing the end product of all our hard work.

John’s responsibilities at Kodet include strong project management, construction observation, field verification, code research, cost estimating, and coordination of drawings with consultants and engineers. John has worked on all phases of design and construction for many types of buildings ranging from Religious, Historical, Educational, Housing, Libraries, Maintenance, Recreational and Military. John has been a team leader at Kodet Architectural Group on many projects. He works with owners to coordinate drawings, review existing facility conditions, perform field verifications, and prepares drawings in AutoCAD and Revit. His experience and knowledge allows the office to complete projects under budget and in a timely manner. He strives to ensure clients that each phase of the design process will be an enjoyable experience.
