Teri Nagel has been with Kodet Architectural Group for over 20 years. She originally came to Minnesota to study architecture at the University of Minnesota, got a job with Kodet as a student and never left. She has worked in all aspects of projects, including marketing, construction administration, construction documents, programming and specifications. Her favorite aspect of architecture is working on plan development and integrating programming with the functional layout of a space. To this day, Teri finds nothing more exciting than walking into a finished building that she has helped to create.
Profile
Responsibilities:
As a project manager, specification writer, construction administrator, and design team member at Kodet, Teri is involved in all aspects of projects. She understands the coordination required to provide a strong set of documents that integrate the complete set of details needed for complex areas. This includes her work with clients to lay out kitchens, science labs, performance areas, and other detailed spaces efficiently and to meet programs.
Teri also regularly meets with client users to understand how a facility will be used and what needs varying groups will place upon the facility. She then works to coordinate these wants and needs into a building program and then into a building layout. Collaborating with the end users helps to guide the design for individualized designs that create successful buildings.
