Trinity Lutheran Church is a landmark of the Spring Grove community. In 2023, Trinity’s congregation engaged Kodet Architectural Group and Kraus Anderson to perform a master plan study of the facility and site. The congregation has been good stewards of their facility, most recently undertaking the repair process on the numerous stained-glass windows throughout the church and a planned steeple repair. However, the study provided by Kraus Anderson expands on the Church’s plans by providing a comprehensive assessment of the different building components and systems. This assessment considers their age, status, and future needs so that budgeting decisions can happen over time.
Kodet met with the planning committee, staff, and people from various ministries to start the design process; learning about their programs and their vision for growth helped define the project. After receiving input, Kodet worked to develop options that were reviewed by the committee on how to best meet these goals.
The product of the planning process is a combination of a proposed addition and remodeling of areas within the existing building so that this Church can continue to serve the community better now and into the future.
