Hennepin County engaged Kodet Architectural Group to remodel the Hopkins Public Library, update the interior, meet new programmatic needs, and improve the operation for staff and patrons. The interior of the building was almost entirely reoriented to provide better service and all new furnishings were added.
On the exterior, a canopy was included to protect the entrance. The relocated entry allowed a large landscaped area to be created outside the lounge area of the building. The overall goal was to create interest outside the library to make visiting the facility a more pleasant experience.
