Kodet Architectural Group recently completed the assessment phase of a study and potential updates to 11 of MnDOT’s smaller outstate truck stations. The scope of this project includes physical assessments of the existing condition of the building envelopes, review of compliance to current energy code requirements, providing a preliminary scope of updates to each facility, and a cost estimate for each site. The goal of the project is to provide construction documents to rehabilitate 11 facilities’ exterior envelope materials and window units. Many of the buildings are of metal construction.
