Kodet Architectural Group designed a new sanctuary addition and extensively remodeled an existing school building for Corpus Christi Catholic Church. The congregation had been using a temporary chapel that could no longer accommodate their growing numbers.
The sanctuary’s unique new arrangement places the parishioners, the choir, and organist around the altar platform. The layout was tested out at the congregation’s temporary location and was proven very successful. A partially enclosed side aisle flows completely around the perimeter of the space, providing circulation around the sanctuary and allowing access without disturbing activities.
