Edward J. Kodet Jr., FAIA  - Founder, Firm Advisor

Edward Kodet Jr., FAIA, founded Kodet Architectural Group in 1983. He received a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Nebraska and a Master of Architecture from the University of Minnesota. He began his career at the University of Minnesota as an Adjunct Faculty Member teaching design and working at a local architecture firm in Minneapolis.  Ed remains active with AIA-Minnesota serving various boards and has held several past positions including AIA-Minneapolis and Minnesota President.

In 2010, he was honored as the AIA-Minnesota Gold Medal recipient. The award is one of the highest honors bestowed by the association, recognizing individuals whose work had a lasting influence on the theory + practice of architecture in Minnesota and a positive impact on the Minnesota architecture community and culture. He emphasized the importance of investing in the architectural community and his strong commitment and success in architectural design is evident in his portfolio.
